We headed to Cozad for the weekend. We had a really nice time at home. David, Anna and Katherine came over on Saturday and hung out with us. It was a nice day. We had some of Daddy's amazing BBQ for lunch, played the board game LIFE (does anyone remember how complex that game is!?), and just hung out and watched the babies.
This was Dennis and I's first opportunity to spend some quality time with Katherine. She is such a sweetheart! She's at the stage where she's just starting to figure out how to turn over from back to fr
ont. She even managed to turn over from tummy to back once. She's putting everything in her mouth. It was fun to watch Addie and Katherine interact. At church on Sunday we sang happy birthday to Cynthia and Addie. Cynthia's birthday is today, and Addie's is Thursday. I can hardly believe that she'll be a year old.
For church on Sunday Cynthia bought Katherine and Addie matching outfits. They looked soooo cute! After church we took them out into the yard and took a ton of photos. We also celebrated Addie's 1st birthday after church with just the family. She enjoyed all of the wrapping paper, but did seem to notice her actual presents more than she did at Christmas. It is amazing to think about how much Addie has changed in just one year. She has no idea how big her world will be soon.
It was a wonderful first mother's day weekend.
Speaking of mother's this article really spoke to me, especially now that I'm a mom. Check it out at http://www.odemagazine.com/article.php?aID=4309&l=en
